Motherhood

As I sit drumming away on the computer, I'm day-dreaming of breathing freely, bending over w/o holding my breath, seeing my toes, cuddling a precious newborn, and the all around relief of not being pregnant anymore. As much as I love the feeling of my unborn child kicking and growing over the course of time, I'm now at the point of anxiously waiting for her arrival. The days run together and often leave me on the brink of insanity as I look at another pile of dirty dishes, a permeating smell coming from a diaper clad toddler, or the mound of clean laundry preventing me from curling up and taking a nap.

Is it worth it all?

I desire, more than anything, to value what the Lord values. I do consider that Motherhood is a Calling, but do I truly believe so in my heart of hearts?

Well the count down is still on. 39 weeks and counting to be exact... Am I ready to add more chaos to our lives?? Is my attitude and heart seeking out truth and joy?

In over my head

So I stumbled upon an enticing project and decided it was worth a try. I added my improvements as I dove in feet first. BAHHAAHA!  One afternoon I calculated... turned into a 2 week project....

wooden letters for each of the children's names

One bottle of mod podge, paint brush, wash cloth, scissors, a pencil, and scrapbook paper

several ice cream chocolate bars for energy (gold packaging)

3 beautiful stacks of colorful fun names ready to be hung on the walls.... I'll let you know if that ever happens! ;)

Online yard sale

Well the lack of income and always present bills have forced us to take a fresh approach to survival. As scripture reminds me that God is my ever present help in time of need... we look around for ways to put a meal on the table seeking the Lord in every step we take. THIS WEEK we are cleaning out storage. Items we've held onto for the "future" and yet have sat collecting dust. Toys forgotten and stuffed in the back of a closet or rarely even glanced at. Around our house you can measure the worth of a toy, in the eyes of a child, by taking in to account how times you trip over said toy through the day. A truly loved toy never stays on the shelf long and is always changing locations throughout a day. Well I'm getting off my original focus here... THAT SAID, here is a list of items I've posted to Craig's List.

A Pictorial of Sorts

Easter swept by with a blink and our time and effort was thrown into weather disaster and relief. Now that life has returned to normal...whatever that is... I'll throw some pictures up of Easter and Mother's Day.

Easter

Mother's Day

The boys "made" mother's day treats for Tim's mom and grandmother. We delivered them AND caught it on camera...a rare happening in our parts. We made hand prints and tied them to a mason jar that displayed roses from our very own flower bush.

Emergency? Nah Just a trial run...

3 LOUD KNOCKS on the door told us this wasn't the neighbors. A quick head count let us know the animals were accounted for, so WHO could be calling at our house so soon after breakfast??? Still in my pajamas I voted Tim to answer the door. I heard murmuring and curiosity made me peek around the corner to see Tim looking slightly embarrassed. He looks over at me and the conversation goes something like this:

Tim: Put some clothes on and come here.
Me: Why?
Tim: Its the SHERIFF. PUT SOME CLOTHES ON AND COME HERE.
Me: OH! Could you at least be polite about it? I'm hurrying now!
Tim: JUST put some clothes on Heather

So I did. Jeans, t-shirt, hair up. Scurry to the door. Next conversation:

Sheriff: Ma'am are you alright?
Me: Yes sir
Sheriff: Ma'am is your husband abusing you in any way?
Me: Oh my! Uh-No sir. Whats going on?

APPARENTLY, David had managed to call 911 and hang up. Of course the sheriff must respond to all 911 "hang-up" calls as it could be a domestic dispute. We apologized to the not so happy Sheriff and sent him on his way. Sure I was embarrassed at what David had managed to pull off, but did you see what Tim said???? ;) No wonder the Sheriff was worried. MY husband made me off to be walking around in my birthday suit or something!! Gotta love discretion.

Snow Days

WE have enjoyed our white wonderland! From daring Daddy to do crazy shirtless stunts to sledding down hills, building snow mans and last but not least partaking in down home crazy fun! Enjoy the show! :)

Didn't see our crazy stunts? Well we didn't get any picture so use your imagination! Tim dug up an old car hood. Attached it to his truck with ropes and off to the pasture we went.  Lots of screaming, multiple failed attempts and snow in the face best describes the experience. Tim said next snow he will do some "tweaking" and we'll be at it again!!!

Feet First

How do I begin? FIRST, I married my husband for his charm and whit. In turn he gave me adorable handsome sweet boys, many moments of laughter, and godly sense to keep me straight.
Let's fast forward to today. It's cold and icy outside but I needed a breather and so I volunteered to make the Wal-mart run. As I was exiting the house Tim reminded me the front steps were iced over and to be careful. "Uh-huh" was my reply as I balanced a jug of hot water for my windshield, my grocery list, purse, and large winter coat. I gingerly took my first step and knew I could tackle these steps with the grace of a ballerina.  The second step sent my feet up towards the sky, my bum accepting all the weight of my body and my back catching the remaining force as I slithered bounced down 3 front steps. MY blond moment was NOT in the second step but in the fact that I tried to save my hot water jug and not my body.... WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?! My knight in shining armor heard the crash and responded in record time. After my bruised pride began to calm I paced around the yard determined the fire in my bum could be lived with and I would proceed to run my errands.
Armed with goodies for my sweet husband I returned home limping and ready for the couch. Sadly I should have foreseen the charm and whit were not to be wasted on my clumsy episode. The rest of the evening I endured wise cracks I shall not utter on this child-friendly blog. That fire still simmers as I bare a blue and purple memory that scans the whole of my left posterior... so because I cherish and adore my sweet husband who couldn't keep his pie hole shut.  This is for you dear-est! :*

p.s. All wise cracks towards my husband are in good faith. Please enjoy the humor of the moment!
