As seen on TV

My wonderful husband, Tim, is an artist. I have sketches scattered throughout our home, in the car, even in my sacred kitchen. He is currently tweaking his talent into weekly art classes. His latest project is our son. He envisioned a picture of Samuel and our Husky mix, Dakota, lounging together on the front porch. We decided to create this image on film for Tim to use while he draws.
Now rewind in time. Our house is over 80 years old and I think our doorknobs dated back that far as well. I have been using the conventional key to unlock our front door and realized that all you had to do was jiggle the knob and BAM its unlocked. Tim replaced our lock and life continued as normal with a slight adjustment to the workings of our shiny new doorknob.
Now lets fast forward back to the morning of our front porch party. We exist stage right and forget to check the door to make sure we could make it back inside. Of course I realize this as soon as I shut the door firmly. Now we are stranded in the wet and chilly outdoors, barefoot, short sleeved and hungry (we haven't even attempted b'fast). Tim tiptoes across our wet lawn and heads to the Shop( large garage with many random gadgets, tools, and seasonal clothes) in search of a "Break In" Idea. He comes back with keys---NOTHING. He then tries other doors and windows--NOTHING.
Finally he walks by carrying a large orange cylinder, crowbar, and a silly grin. I stop him and turn my now numb feet in his direction with my own quizzical brow. WHAT are you attempting I ask. He stops me mid sentence and explains:

" I saw it in a movie once, trust me"

NOW CAN I PLEASE GET A CONSENSUS ON WHAT MY REACTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN??

Now being the loving wife that I am, I simply nodded, shivered and sat back down to wait out the movie break in. Sure enough, after a considerable amount of thumping, thudding, cranking, and praying, my husband appeared at our front door with a LARGE smile on his face and no noticeable damage on the basement door!!!! We won't forget this stunt for awhile.
