Farm Life

Samuel seems to be enjoying life on "the farm." He can drive a tractor, hoe a garden, herd chickens, drive the 4-wheeler, and rock away the afternoon on the porch. Honestly, we won't make him work in the garden until he can walk... for now its just a quick joy ride with his Papa and then back to crawling all over our house and learning how to be mischievous!!!

Here is the first ultrasound of Baby M#2. Due date is set for around November 8. Heart rate was around 154. Good sign! :) So who is routing for a boy or girl? I'm ready for cute dresses and lots of purple and pink...but I wouldn't be opposed to more trains, planes, and cars.

Disgusting

I am excited about several recent events in our life. FIRST, I'm pregnant!!! We have baby #2 due sometime in November. SECOND, I am definitely a candidate of morning sickness. THIRD, we are introducing new foods to Samuel all the time, some he likes some he doesn't. I write all this to set up our scenario....Samuel hates peas. So today when I introduced "Spring vegetables with brown rice" I wasn't sure if he would consume all the green goo. Thankfully he did!! Then came fruit. He loves fruit...he GOBBLES up fruit. So as he ate, his face contortions changed from yummy to gagging. Gagging led to a green highchair, green baby, green mommy, and no more lunch! WOW!!!

Snow

We bundled up the wee man and went sledding this morning! Samuel enjoyed it,b ut I think we got a bigger kick out of the white wonderland more so than he! :) Now I know people believe we never get snow, but I know for a fact it snowed (and stuck) a year ago this exact weekend. We have officially lived in Union Grove 1 year. We woke up Saturday March 1, 2008 to icy roads and snow covered lawns, but as typical Alabama snow goes..it all melted by late morning and we officially became country residents. This year we were able to celebrate the snow with our 7 month old and his cousins, aunt, uncle and grandparents!!!
