Banish Worry Leap for Joy

Though its a little late in coming, Tim and I wanted to express our gratitude and thankfulness for a healthy year for Samuel!!! The end of January 2010 took us for a nasty spill. With e-coli wrecking havoc on Samuel's kidneys we were sent to Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL.  God was good and sent us the very best of care for our first born son. Samuel was diagnosed with Hemolytic-uremic syndrome and spent 7 long days in the hospital.

As I was glancing through the cell phone pictures (cause who thinks to grab a camera when rushing to a hospital 2 hours away?), I instantly teared up! My precious Samuel, who is at this very moment jumping on the couch and singing--- to get belly laughs out of his baby brother, shows no visible signs of the knock-out drag-out fight that ecoli put him through. I SOOO cherish my slobbery kisses and peanut butter wall art. He is a constant reminder who our Faith lies in. Not modern medicine, skilled doctors, attentive nurses, or even knowledgeable parents can out way the power of Jesus Christ and his saving Grace.

"In peace I will lie down and sleep,
   for you alone, LORD,
make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8

First comes walking than CLIMB ABOARD for Danger!

What are you thinking David?

What have you learned from SAMUEL?!?!

Not bad for a first-timer

Pretty proud of himself!

Uh-oh! That's how we end up with bruises and tears. SIT DOWN DAVID!

Guess you're ready for the pee-wee circus. Now catch him Daddy!

p.s. Can you tell its Sunday afternoon and I don't care what my living room looks like? It IS a day of rest ya know! ;)

Emergency? Nah Just a trial run...

3 LOUD KNOCKS on the door told us this wasn't the neighbors. A quick head count let us know the animals were accounted for, so WHO could be calling at our house so soon after breakfast??? Still in my pajamas I voted Tim to answer the door. I heard murmuring and curiosity made me peek around the corner to see Tim looking slightly embarrassed. He looks over at me and the conversation goes something like this:

Tim: Put some clothes on and come here.
Me: Why?
Tim: Its the SHERIFF. PUT SOME CLOTHES ON AND COME HERE.
Me: OH! Could you at least be polite about it? I'm hurrying now!
Tim: JUST put some clothes on Heather

So I did. Jeans, t-shirt, hair up. Scurry to the door. Next conversation:

Sheriff: Ma'am are you alright?
Me: Yes sir
Sheriff: Ma'am is your husband abusing you in any way?
Me: Oh my! Uh-No sir. Whats going on?

APPARENTLY, David had managed to call 911 and hang up. Of course the sheriff must respond to all 911 "hang-up" calls as it could be a domestic dispute. We apologized to the not so happy Sheriff and sent him on his way. Sure I was embarrassed at what David had managed to pull off, but did you see what Tim said???? ;) No wonder the Sheriff was worried. MY husband made me off to be walking around in my birthday suit or something!! Gotta love discretion.
